Skär till skär swimrun is a race for you who want an unforgettable challenge in beautiful nature and traditional archipelago setting.
Archeology
19-23.8.24 "Brunskär long time ago" - archaeological excavation led by FM Jan Fast.
"Brunskär long time ago" is a maritime and community archaeological project that studies an archipelago community from historical times on Brunskär in Korpo.
The project is important because so far there has been very little archaeological research in the outer archipelago of Southwestern Finland. The aim of the project is to get a picture of what life was like and how people lived on Brunskär about 200 years ago.
The project culminates in an archaeological excavation on Brunskär 19-23 August 2024. Brunskär residents and other people with an interest in archaeology are offered the opportunity to participate in the excavations.
Folk music tour
On Monday 24 June, the folk music archipelago tour begins on Brunskär. Four old time sailing boats arrive loaded with several folk musicians. They perform and play together with musicians from Brunskär in the harbour. The programme also includes sing-alongs and pleasant socialising in the spirit of music.
Midsummer eve
Midsummer eve begins at Brunskär with raising the flag and singing a few songs together in the harbour at 6 pm. Please let us know if you would like to join before hand to info@brunskar.fi
